Our HK Trip: Day 4 (3 Mar 2010)

Ian was so enamoured of his Mickey helium balloon, that the first thing he did in the morning was to look for it.  It was supposed to be an idyllic day.  We began the day with a hearty breakfast at Cafe Mickeys in the hotel.  The food was not bad, but the spread was wide - continental to Asian.

We took our own sweet time to go to the park.  It was a sunny day - what a dramatic change in the weather as it was cool on the previous day.  We made a wrong decision to let Ian wear a long-sleeved shirt.  Along the way, we bought a Mickey hat for Ian to keep some sun out of his head.  The park attendant whom we bought the hat from highly recommended us to visit the Mickey Philhar Magic show, hence, it became our first stop.

While waiting to enter the theatre, each of us was given a pair of shade.  Look how Ian looked in them!

Ian enjoyed the 3D show tremendously, and had even attempted to stretch out his hands to touch the objects.  Right outside the theatre, we found curried yudan and sat down for a bite.  Ian was craving for the fishballs as we savoured them.  In the end, we bought one more pack since Ian liked it so much.

After the short break, we headed towards Tomorrowland...

We found this part of the park to be quite fun too.  Unfortunately, one of the rides was out of bounds to Ian because he had not attained the minimum height requirement.

A little astronaut has been spotted!

After our fair share of rides, we chased around the park for a photo with the Disney characters: Pooh Bear, Goofy, Pluto, Mickey, Minnie, and casts from Buzz Light Year.

There was still some time left, and we revisited one of the stations in Tomorrowland for a second ride - to help Buzz shoot down the 'bad elements'!   I attained the 5th grade in this ride!

We returned to Main Street Cafe for dinner.  We ordered ramen and a salad.  Thumbs up for the ramen!

After the dinner, we walked around the streets while waiting for the fireworks display.  Because Hubby was busy filming the fireworks on the previous night, this time round, it was his turn to enjoy the performance with Ian, while I had free hands to take still shots.

This night, we joined the crowd to return to the hotel.  To our surprise, Goofy was loitering in the lobby and we took this chance to take a photo with him!

It was a magical holiday indeed!

By looking at your picture, I think it is worthwhile to stay for the night for the fireworks. We missed it as we decided to have dinner at the hotel!

(We didn't make reservation for the dinner and we were given two hours to have it. So if we only used one hour to eat, it will be too rush to have buffet dinner. And moreover, the spread is soooo good!)

Oh yes, many people stayed for the fireworks! It was spectacular but I found the crowd overwhelming.
